The Congo gorilla permit costs US$ 400 which is a cheaper price for Uganda’s permit which costs US$ 600 and for Rwanda which costs US$ 1500. The Mountain gorillas in Congo are only found in VIRUNGA NATIONAL PARK which keeps over 200 Mountain gorillas with 8 habituated Mountain gorilla families which include; Kabirizi, Humba, Bageni, Rugendo, Mapuwa, Nyakamwe, Munyaga and Lulengo and the tracking of gorillas in the Park take place at the Bukima patrol post.

Trekkers are advised to maintain maximum silence while tracking and to stand at least 8 meters from the gorillas while viewing them and also spend with the gorillas for strictly one hour. In the Park a traveler will also enjoy the hike of the most active Volcano known as Nyiragongo Volcano and enjoy the views of the bubbling Lava Lake at the summits of the volcano. The hike takes two days for ascending and descending.
More special for Congo gorilla tours is that it is the only country to be with both Mountain gorillas and Low-land gorillas. The Low-land gorillas are also found and can be trekked in Congo’s Park known as KAHUZI-BIEGA NATIONAL PARK of which its permit also costs US$ 400 per trekker.
